Paradise Brokers Sponsors New Year's Celebration in San Isidro del General
San Isidro del General, P.Z., Costa Rica . - Paradise Brokers, S.A., one of the leading real estate companies in Costa Rica, is one of several businesses in the area to support the first annual New Year's Eve beach party in San Isidro del General.
The municipality, located about 30 minutes west of Dominical, is bringing the beach to downtown San Isidro. Historically, many residents of San Isidro spent the day in Dominical, Uvita and other beach destinations in the South Pacific and Osa regions for New Year's Eve celebrations. However, after talking with residence of the community it became apparent that most people would prefer to stay closer to home for New Year's Eve. According to San Isidro Deputy Mayor Hanz Cruz, "We wanted to make it easy for our residents to enjoy the atmosphere of the beach, but add the convenience of a closer location for them. Additionally, we wanted to provide a celebration that provides entertainment for all ages throughout the day. We are bringing in several different musicians, including Costa Rica's most popular music groups and making it easy for everyone to enjoy the day in a safe, convenient location"
The all-day (and most of the night) event will take place in the central plaza of San Isidro. Literally tons of sand is being placed in the city square, with a stage for the entertainment and food and other vendors setting up stands in the streets. Several local streets will be closed for the event.
Costa Rica's most popular and successful band, Calle 8, along with Marfil, Erick Leon and other popular musicians will performing all day and most of the night. The party is scheduled to end at sunrise on the morning of January 1, 2008.
The municipality is also planning on providing a live video feed of the concerts, so feel free to visit here during the evening of December 31, 2007, to watch the music.
